How to find the best adjustable inversion table fitted for your need and budget?
We all know the power of the internet with regards to influence on selling products so I’m here to tell you now that our site is different. Here you will see the different brands of inversion tables researched and reviewed personally by me, also a back pain sufferer.
I created this blog because I realized that there are so many fake reviews out here and people like you and me who are suffering from back pain deserve to know exactly what we’ll get out of a certain brand of inversion table in my inversion table reviews.
First, though, let me warn you that because we have our own mind, we might have different ideas about a certain brand. What might be a great inversion table for me may not be what you think is the best for you too? What I can promise you in this site though is that I will post both the pros and cons in my inversion tables reviews.
Secondly, before I tell you about my research and inversion table reviews, let me tell you about back pain; what really causes it and how inversion tables help relieve the pain.
Back pain is the second most common complaint people tell their doctor. If you suffer from it, I hope you have told your doctor already too. Pain from the upper back and lower back differ in causes and severity. It is up to you to clearly explain to your doctor the signs you see with your back and the symptoms you feel.
Your physician will then ask your history, especially what your work is and what you do every day when not working. Your doctor will order a series of tests which will guide him in his diagnosis. The tests include, Xray, Laboratory Tests, Physical exam and much more of what he sees is appropriate.
Here are the typical causes of back pain:
Ligament or Muscle Strain is due to heavy lifting, sudden complex movements, or due to constant pressure on your spinal ligaments.
Compressed or ruptured intercalated disks are caused by falling accidents or by poor body posture throughout the day. These intercalated disks are what cushion our spine and when they are damaged it causes great back pain.
Sciatica is a condition wherein one or more of your sciatic nerves are compressed by the disks and this causes severe lower back pain that runs to the legs and ankles.
Osteoporosis, Arthritis, and skeletal irregularities are also causes of back pain that can leave a person sleepless and irritable.
The Scientific Theory behind Inversion Therapy
It is said that gravity pulls everything down and this includes the intercalated disks in your spine, causing compression. With inversion therapy, you are upside down, so the gravitational pressure is taken off from your disks, ligaments and joints of your lower back. Spinal/gravitational traction is another term for this therapy.
When you are inverted, spinal traction promotes good blood flow to your back as well as decompressing your spinal disks, ligaments and your joints. This decompression eases your lower back pain because the pressure is taken off and your muscles and the whole of your back are relaxed.
In my inversion table reviews for the best inversion table available in the market today, 3 brands come to top the list. These are the
- “Body Champ IT8070 Inversion Therapy Table”
- “Ironman Gravity 4000 Inversion Table”
- “Gravity Inversion Therapy Table”
I picked these 3 brands because from all the brands that I’ve tried, they were the ones that gave me the best results worthy of their prices.
Let me warn you that solely based on research, it is said that inversion tables do not heal back pain but it does provide low back pain relief, especially those caused by strains and spinal disks and ligaments compression.
Also, if you have high blood pressure, heart problems and glaucoma then you are highly advised to go to your physician first because inversion tables can cause serious risks.
Here is a simple table that you can compare and contrast my three top brands.

Now let’s look at a more detailed review about these individual inversion tables in the following inversion table reviews.
“Body Champ IT8070 Inversion Therapy Table”
I’m 6 ft tall so I thought I was going to have some trouble finding an inversion table that would comfortably fit my whole body. The body champ IT8070 Inversion Therapy Table can cater for a height range of 4 ft 7 up to 6 ft 8. I think, knowing the range of height capability of a table is one of the most important things you need to look at when buying.
For me, this inversion table is more than for back pain because it is also designed to be used for other daily routine exercises. Aside from relieving low back pain, it also helps me with my muscle aches and other bodily stresses. From all the inversion tables I’ve tried in a lot of stores, I consider body champ IT8070 to be the one that’s easiest and most comfortable to use. It is also the one that is easiest to assemble and keep if you don’t need to use it.
Comfort and Security
The body champ IT8070 inversion table has four foam-covered ankle holders that do not give you any pinching pain while you are inverted.
The table itself is made of high-density foam cushion for your back’s comfort. Another great thing about this model is its U-shaped handles which made it easier for me to grab and go back to an upright position.
Safety straps are also included in the table for which I could control the angle of my inversion. It’s sturdy and can support the weight of up to 250 pounds.
The best thing, in my opinion, about this brand, is that it has an affordable price, below $100 and it has almost all the same functions as the most pricey inversion tables.
One thing I’ve noticed after using Body Champ IT8070 inversion table for almost 1 year now is that its straps get somewhat old and you might have to go back to the store to purchase a new one. Like all the other inversion tables, you are not supposed to use it if you have a heart disease, high blood pressure or glaucoma.
Here are the Key Features of Body Champ IT8070:
- A 4’7” to 6’8’’ Height range
- 113 kg or 250-pound capacity
- 2 adjustable pin systems for easy access
- Ankle straps are spring loaded pull pins
- Safety strap to control inversion angles
- Has a safety lock on its table
- Easy folding for storage or moving
- Dimension when assembled: 55-1/2 by 29-1/2 by 57-7/8 inches (LxWxH)
- Folded: 13 by 29 by 75 inches (LxWxH)
Now that you know both the pros and cons, take a look at the table above to read some of the reviews that other users have said. Remember that I am just narrowing your search for these tables and that after you read reviews online you should go and personally try each product for yourself.
“Ironman Gravity 4000 Inversion Table”
We’ll I’ve asked that question too and here is what I’ve found out about this product.
The Ironman Gravity 4000 inversion table has a 2 inches shorter adjustment than the Body Champ IT8070 therapy inversion table because its frame can only be adjusted up to 6’6’’ inches.
But still 6’6’’ is pretty tall already, right? That’s why I considered this as a pro.
If you are a family man or woman suffering from back pain, then this product is worth its price since it has general health uses that other members of your family can benefit from too.
Athletes can use it to improve body flexibility while old people can reduce the effects of aging due to gravitational pull, bad posture or less movement. Again, just be careful with the contraindications of people with high bp, heart diseases or glaucoma, though.
When I used my friend’s Ironman Gravity 4000, for about 1 month, I felt my blood rushed to my upper body while I was upside down and my back aches were currently relieved even days after I was inverted. With one session of 20 minutes inversion daily, my back pain was not as painful anymore, even quite unnoticeable.
Comfort and security
From my keen observation, what’s great about this product is that its extra-wide tubular frames are made of sturdy steel with a non-abrasive powder coating. It also has memory foams made of waterproof vinyl with a detachable lumbar pillow for your backrest.
The Ironman Gravity 4000 inversion table has sturdy floor balancers so that it feels really safe since it doesn’t move while you are inverting. The ankle holders are also cushioned and there are lengthy safety handles for your easy grip when inverting and getting back up.
It can handle up to 350 pounds, which is one of its best features. All in all, it measures 26 W x 65H and 49D and weighs 75 lbs. The table allows you to invert up to 180 degrees.
Although $250- $350 is a big amount, I still consider this as a pro since the amazing features of this inversion table serves it price well. Besides, even your family can use it for other healthy benefits.
The one problem I’ve found out about this table is that it is heavier to move than the Body Champ IT8070 thus you can’t easily move it from one place of your house to another. It also isn’t as easy to assemble and fold as the champ brand.
Here are the key features of “Ironman Gravity 4000 Inversion Table”
- Definitely one of the sturdiest brands in the industry.
- It has a tubular steel frame, nylon memory-foam table with powder coated finish.
- Inverts up to 180 degrees and has rubberized floor stands so it doesn’t move or skid.
- Supports up to 350 pounds with cushioned ankle holders.
- Easy folding for storage and weighs 75 pounds.
- Have all the adjustment systems you need for rotation or for getting back up.
If I had to score Ironman Gravity 4000 inversion table, I’d say it would score higher in features and comfort than body champ. But then again the price is a little too much for me.
“Gravity Inversion Therapy Table”
By the time I’ve tested Gravity Inversion Table, I’ve already tested about 3 different brands and I can say with honesty that it is one of the cheapest one in the market with all the great features from other brands included. Here are my pros and cons about this product.
Gravity Inversion Therapy Table has the same minimum and maximum height range with Ironman Gravity 4000 inversion table. It is for people 4’7’’ up to 6’6’’ feet. Its table will fit you perfectly if you are within this range because it has a great adjustment system.
I tested gravity inversion therapy table for 3 weeks. 3 times a week, I went to this store that the manager was a friend of a close friend of mine. Like those 2 products above, it also helped relieved my lower back pain. It gave me a relaxed, soothing back after 10-20 minutes of inversion. But take note that I’ve done this a long time and have asked my physician’s advice so you should take it slow and ask your doctor’s thoughts too.
Another great use for the Gravity Inversion Therapy Table is that, according to the people who used it daily, it is not only for back pain sufferers but also can be used for relieving stress, workouts and for general decompression of bones, joints, and ligaments in our body.
Comfort and Security
The Gravity Inversion Table, unlike my first top 2 picks, is the only one which has a leg strap aside from its ankle holder. This is for added safety measures that I think is great.
It’s made of sturdy steel and what I’ve noticed is it’s very comfortable design with its multiple adjustment settings to control your inversion speed.
It also has an adjustable tether straps and those skid-resistant floor stands. The backrest of this table is made of vinyl foam and really soft on our back.
Like I said above, this table is one of the cheapest in the market with a price usually below $150. It is affordable than most and you certainly should consider testing this one out if you are looking for an inversion table with great features, but you are on a tight budget. Oh and it is also very easy to assemble or fold depending on your schedule. It is one of the smallest inversion tables that it can fit in your closet.
Some of the few things I disliked about this brand of table is its lack of features compared to the Ironman Gravity 4000 Inversion Table. Also for those heavier than 250 pounds and are suffering from back pain, this is not for you too.
Here are the Key Features of The Gravity Inversion Therapy Table
- Handles up to 250 pounds
- For people 4’10’’ up to 6’6’’ feet
- Allows you to invert up to 180 degrees
- Cushioned Ankle and leg holders for security
- Adjustment settings on arm holders for easy rotation control
- Has tether straps for additional safety
- Weighs 52 pounds
- Steel frame materials with foamed backrest and hand holders
- Rubberized skid-resistant floor stands
So which one is my most recommended brand?
Well, there are two actually. The Body Champ Inversion Table is my first choice because I don’t have a lot of extra money and yet I am very much satisfied with its features. I use my inversion table at least twice a day for 10-20 minutes each, depending on how my back and body feels.
I love the effect it gave me most especially in relieving my back pain. Of course, the pain sometimes comes back because I’m such a hard head and forget that I’m no hulk who can carry heavy things. Still the gentleman in me couldn’t afford to let my wife move the heavy furniture or clean the garage alone so I keep coming back to having back pains.
It all disappears though after I use my Body Champ IT8070 inversion table and when I recline from abusing my body and my back.
Now, if unlike me, you are rich or very rich, then I recommend and urge you to buy the Ironman Gravity 4000 Inversion Table. Why? Simply because of all the things I’ve honestly said above, aside from all the other customer reviews.
Of course, I also urge you to go and test all the tables you could get your hands on too. But for me, this is the best because all its features are amazing and the relief you will get is well worth its heavy price.
Oh and it has over 700+ positive customer reviews in amazon so it must be really good, right?
Now that you know my top 3 brands and you still are not convinced, here are some tips about inversion tables you should know if you want to search for more brands.
Inversion Table – How To Find The Best
When you’ve decided to look for your very own inversion table, make sure you know what you are doing or that you bring someone who knows a lot about these tables. From $100-500, you can already have your table packed and delivered to your house.
The first part should be to surf the net for the best tables. Pick about ten then read each one’s reviews. Next, take the time to read the customers’ reviews because even though some may only be written by ghostwriters, the rest of it are true.
Take note of all the pros and cons in all that you read and also do research among the people you know who have back pain. The social media sites are also a great way to do research since you will find most people today are addicted to them (facebook, twitter etc, #backpain). LOL
Anyhow, here are the other important things to consider when buying a table.
Brand Name- trust the one that is known yet also has affordable prices.
The Quality or Build – Look at the inversion table really closely and its every detail. Make sure it is in perfect production state and not damaged in any way.
Certifications – each brand has a certification that their products went through approval. Make sure to ask the seller about it.
Is The Brand Name Old? – If it is new, give it at least 3 months to hear feedback from people who have already used it. Then try it for your self first before buying. Do your research.
Support Materials – Make sure there are manuals for the table that you will buy. How to manuals are very important especially in equipments like these.
Return Policies or Warranties – If I don’t like the table, can I return it? This is one question I always asked the store. If it gets broken or some of its parts damaged easily, can I return it? I don’t believe in buying something that doesn’t make me 100% happy.
Body Type – Of course if you are taller than 6’6’’ then your choice would be to buy the Body Champ IT8070 because it is for people up to 6’8’’ feet. Taller than that? Well, you should tell the manager at the store or maybe try the table first and see if it is still comfortable for you.
Budget- Save at least $250 so that you can choose the cheaper table yet also has great features. Don’t ever go over your budget or you might regret it and that regret will cause you more pain and stress. Go to multiple stores before you decide to buy one so that you can compare the prices.
Uses – Make sure to ask the salesperson about the other uses for the table as well as do your own internet research. Some customer reviews can be trusted and you can also ask the people you personally know what they think about a certain inversion table they’ve used.
My personal vote goes for Body Champ IT8070 Inversion Therapy Table, as it showed a very good set of advantages and only minor disadvantages. Furthermore, when 552 people recommend it, you cannot simply ignore the fact that it is actually good. Vital factors + lots of excellent customer reviews have convinced me that this inversion table is really the best one out there!
Look at this video how it was tested.
The other 2 products I presented are fine as well, and you will get good value for the price, but I believe the Body Champ IT8070 Inversion Therapy Table should be among your top choices!
